Sara Petrella presenting in Lyon, at the 47th international NASSCFL conference, June 2017.

17th-century scholars gathered in Lyon at the 47th international NASSCFL conference to investigate the links in this period between literature, the book, and the book trade. The conference looked into political, economical and cultural interactions, and examined their representations. In the panel on “Les intermédiaires du livre”, Sara Petrella presented a historical case study, namely the life and work of Jean de Montlyard, in order to underline the existence of a  “culture of correction” during the 17th century.
